Our facilities at Via XXV Aprile Ovest 10 in Sant’Ilario d’Enza have long been engaged in the shipment of goods via rail, bolstered by our private sidetrack connected to the Milan-Bologna railway line.
Our railway sidetrack and the transport and handling of goods
We have invested considerable resources in the construction of a private railway sidetrack to aid in the import and export of goods via rail. The 630 m stretch of track links directly to the Milan-Bologna railway line. The benefits it provides are especially clear to and appreciated by our clientèle.
We are able to receive any type of railway car, with no restrictions in terms of capacity or number of axles. We are able to move up to 250 tons of freight using an overhead travelling crane or up to 16 tons using a forklift truck.
We are equipped to receive vertical- and/or horizontal-axis coils.
Efficient intermodal freight transport
Over time we have developed a number of options for integrating rail and road freight transport. Intermodal transport is the end result of a careful researching of routes aimed to reduce delivery times and costs.
Our railway terminal and our network of contacts in the transport sector allow us to reach destinations in Italy and abroad, connecting major financial centres and moving up to 150,000 tons per year.
